You have questions.
We have some answers.
-
Not to minimize the importance of finding a good fit, but we recommend not overthinking it. Simply put – try to answer this without too much thought and listen to your gut: Would you be up to grab coffee with them? Yes – then book the appointment. No – keep looking. The truth is, like all relationships, the one you’ll develop with your therapist takes time. But if you’re still not sure, drop us a line and we’d be happy to help you with this step.
-
Absolutely. Send us an email and let us know which therapist you’d like to consult with and provide your availability for a 10-minute phone call. Your selected therapist will email you to schedule a call.
-
Click on any of the Book Now buttons and you’ll be directed right to our booking portal. Once we’ve confirmed your booking request on our end, we’ll send you more information to complete your onboarding. Plan to hear from us within one business day.
-
Login to your client portal and cancel your appointment at least 48 hours before your session or send an email to your therapist letting them know you can’t make it and when you plan to see them next. Can’t find your therapist’s email? Contact us
-
We have a strict 48-hour policy for cancellations, reschedules, and no shows. To avoid being charged your therapist’s session rate ($155-$225), notify your therapist via email or cancel your session in your client portal at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment.
-
It depends. No matter when you arrive, your therapist will end on time. So ultimately it’s your session, your time, and up to you. Definitely email your therapist and let them know your status. Chances are they’ll no longer be available if you’re 20+ minutes late.
-
Therapy appointments start at $155 per session. Check your therapist’s profile to confirm their rate. If you plan for an extended appointment beyond 45-53 mins it will cost more.
-
We’re in-network with Aetna and United. Depending on your coverage, your out-of-pocket costs could be as little as $25 or nothing at all. Once you book your appointment, provide your insurance information, and complete onboarding, we’ll follow-up with your expected out-of-pocket costs. Please note, we are NOT in-network for couples therapy.
-
Yes, and you absolutely should! We can provide a monthly superbill upon request. Follow these steps to get started:
Call the customer service number on your insurance card or visit the insurance carrier's website for contact details. If available, use live chat or contact the department dedicated to benefits.
Confirm if your plan has out-of-network coverage for outpatient psychotherapy.
Ask about specific coverage details:
Percentage of costs covered
Deductibles (the amount you need to pay before insurance starts covering costs)
Co-insurance (your share of costs after meeting the deductible)
Out-of-pocket maximum (the total amount you pay in a policy period before insurance covers 100% of costs)
Clarify any limitations, like session limits or authorization requirements.
Ask your carrier about their process for submitting a superbill for out-of-network services.
Finally, find out how long it typically takes to process the superbill and receive your reimbursement.
-
Nope. They do at some places, but at Stori, regardless if you’re coming solo, with someone else, a whole crew, or even receiving specialized care such as EMDR, there’s no price difference. You’re welcome.
-
Yeah, you do! Let your therapist know you want a nature session and, if they think it’s conducive to your care, they’ll help you get everything squared away. We recommend you bring it up in your next session.
