The Stori of Us

In Hawaii there’s a beautiful tradition that pretty well sums up what we’re doing here. All across the islands, when folks gather to Talk Story ('olelo Kama'ilio), they share what’s up in their minds and hearts, families and lineages, business and play. People Talk Story on porches, and in the street, on the lanai and in the park – wherever the moment strikes for friends and neighbors to catch up. It comes from an oral tradition that passes wisdom down from generation to generation and that helps each member of the community find their way.

At Stori we aim for this kind of meaningful sharing, for the authenticity and rawness, for the easy intimacy between people who trust each other with their most real of reals. And just like the Hawaiian tradition, we believe laughter goes very well with tears, hardship with joy, struggle with perspective, and the comfort of knowing someone is listening. Someone cares.

We spell our name a little differently, and that’s not by accident. We wanted to flip that old but familiar script with something new – something with more agency. By putting the I in Stori, we want to help you ask the big questions: What do I need to heal? What do I want from my relationships? What must I do to live a life of my own design?

We each have a story to tell – some of them crafted by years of telling them, some still waiting to be named and spoken aloud. No matter where you are with yours, we want to help you make helpful, self-affirming meaning from the life you’ve lived so far and lean into the places you’ll go next.

Welcome to the place built for your Stori. We can’t wait to hear it.
